SARAH DESSEN- did anyone else notice this in her books? (truth about forever etc)?

Ok i just finished Truth about Forever by Sarah Dessen and then i read half of Keeping the Moon by her (didnt like it) amd now im halfway through Just Listen by her (love it) and in this chapter they just entered World Of Waffles-where Wes and the girl went in Truth.. and Annabel just noticed a "guy with a tatoo half showing under his shirtsleeve, and a blonde girl in running clothes" OMG is it supposed to be that she meant to put characters from that book into this one??????? Also in keeping the moon it was set in Colby, like this book
