Where does Buddhism stand on the fact of (Darwinian) evolution?

It is not hard to achieve Nirvana. And it is not hard to maintain oneself in that state. We live in an interesting world full of so many interesting and absorbing activities that some of us are having too much fun to worry about it and so let evolutionary finite materiality do its thing with us. We are good with that. At least I am. I love to ride the evolutionary stages of material reality and have no problem with understanding how to free myself from this and stop riding the waves of activity that flow in me if I need a brief relief from the entanglements of the networks and complex social activities that can keep one away from oneself to the point of distraction and then get drawn away and pulled off to some dimension or other, all still subject to the reality of the finite material cause and effect reality of each life. There is no conflict of conception with the two in that they are too well integrated in reality.
