Why should a real god seek adulation or send them to hell? Isn't that 'ungodly'?

In buddhism, u're not judged by whether u worship god or not but by your deeds. Buddhists who commit evil are punished even more severely because they are taught and knew better about the consequences yet still go ahead It seems reasonable compared to christian god, funny that the christian god is so gracious and died for everyone yet sends gays and those who don't worship him to hell. Even murderers can go to heaven as long as u are christian worship him. Even if u are the kindest person on earth, or gandi, u get send to hell because u don't worship him. Why does he seel adulation so much?
